Edward D. DeRussy
Ordained: 1957
Edward DeRussy was born in 1926 and ordained in 1957. The Jesuits U.S. Central and Southern Province named DeRussy on their list of Jesuits with credible accusations of sexual abuse of a minor. In 1991, DeRussy was restricted from ministry with minors. DeRussy died in 2001. Later, a man alleged that DeRussy sexually abused him when he was a teenager at Jesuit High School in 1969. In court filings, the alleged victim accused DeRussy of putting his hands down the plaintiff’s pants and touching his genitals multiple times during Latin tutoring sessions.
