
Patrick Keane

In 1994, a man alleged that he was repeated abused by Patrick Keane when he was a teenager in the early 1980s in a Metairie rectory. In 1995, Patrick Keane left the priesthood and sought treatment. The Archdiocese made no attempt to determine if there were other victims. In 1999, Patrick Keane admitted to the abuse in a sworn deposition and later settled the case in 2003. In 2018, the New Orleans Archdiocese added Patrick Keane to the list of “credibly accused.”
